The Customer's Necklace Bled in the Wash
Opening scene
“That necklace is worth 10 million won.”
How it begins
At a late-night laundry, Darim lifts a necklace, still in its mesh bag, out of the washer—and red water drips from it. The customer, Yuljin, goes rigid. “That necklace is worth 10 million won.” Darim catches the leftover red water in a clear bowl, sets it beside a white test cloth, and won't let it go. “Let's not pour out the water just yet.” Yuljin slides a compensation form across the counter. “Sign here and this ends quietly.” But Yuljin's other hand is hiding a tiny red bead—the exact shade of the necklace.
The rest, we'll show you once it's made.
Why does a red gemstone bleed the same color as the wash water?
