Terms of service

1. Purpose

These terms set out how you can use ReelToon (a working name, the "Service"), an AI drama series service, and the rights and duties of the company and members.

2. Definitions

• Episode: one vertical video in a series. An episode may have a separate video for each language.
• Popcorn: the Service's own currency, used only to rent episodes and buy bundles sold by the Service. There is paid popcorn and free popcorn.
• Rental: watching an episode for 72 hours with popcorn.
• Wait-free: after waiting the time set for each series (24 hours by default), you can watch one episode free for 72 hours.
• Early access: the newest episodes of an ongoing series are popcorn-only for 14 days after release.
• Bundle: unlocking all remaining paid episodes of a completed series to watch for as long as the Service runs.

3. Changes to these terms

We post these terms in the Service. We announce changes and their effective date 7 days in advance, or 30 days in advance if a change is unfavorable to members.

4. Membership

• You must read and accept the AI notice when you sign up.
• You must be 14 or older to sign up.
• We check your age before you pay. If you're under 19, a legal guardian must agree before you can pay.

5. Popcorn

• Popcorn can only be used to rent episodes and buy bundles sold by the Service. It can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to another member.
• Paid popcorn never expires. Free popcorn lasts 90 days from the day you receive it.
• Popcorn that expires soonest is used first, so free popcorn goes before paid popcorn.
• Cancellations and refunds follow the Refunds & cancellation policy.

6. Watching episodes

• Once you unlock an episode, you can watch it in every available language.
• Free episodes set for each series (such as episodes 1–2) are open to everyone.
• Series with 5 episodes or fewer don't offer wait-free episodes.
• Bundle episodes stay available for as long as the Service runs. Our supply contracts let existing buyers keep watching even if a series leaves the catalog.

7. AI-made content

Series on the Service are videos made with generative AI. Each series is labeled as made with AI, and we remind you the first time you press play. Characters are fictional adults and are not real people.

8. Prohibited conduct

• Recording, copying or redistributing videos, or using them to train AI
• Using someone else's account or payment method
• Interfering with the normal operation of the Service

9. Creator series and reports

Creator series move from Challenge to Best Challenge to Official. Series reported for using real people's faces or voices, or someone else's IP, are reviewed and may receive a warning, reduced visibility, suspended earnings, or removal, in that order.

10. Changes and shutdown

If we shut down the Service, we'll give 30 days' notice and refund your remaining paid popcorn.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Terms for users in other countries will be set before the Service launches there.
