How it begins
At 2 a.m., night-shift gallery guide Sodam steps over a yellow line, and the wall clock jumps to 3:00. Her friend Oreun freezes, caught rummaging through her bag. Sodam picks up her own phone from where it lay at her feet, and Oreun shoves the bag out of sight. “Back already?” At 3:01, Oreun grabs Sodam by the throat, and she pushes him across the line. Only his body vanishes—the keys in his pocket and the bag drop to the floor. The line sends a person and the clothes they wear one hour ahead, but leaves behind whatever is in their hands and pockets. The arrival screen reads 4:01.
