How it begins
Junseo grinds Taerim's hand against the transit pass. Beyond the gate, figures in hazmat suits drag away body bags. Taerim jerks free, but Junseo shoves Taerim through the door. "You can't change the destination. Your blood is the ticket now." Taerim tears the pass apart, yet the gate pulls in even the torn scraps. Quarantine tech Yubin slices a hand on a sharp fragment, and once the blood touches it, the registered face switches to Yubin. Whoever bled on it last is the one who goes. Junseo wipes Yubin's hand clean—and turns back to Taerim.
