I Held My Breath, and His Knife Froze
Opening scene
“The moment I went under, the hand holding the knife stopped.”
How it begins
Ryumin brings a knife down over the bathtub, and Arim sinks beneath the water. The blade freezes just above the surface; only his eyes move, staring down at her. The instant she exhales, the knife comes down again—she grabs his wrist and slams into the side of the tub. She plunges her face back under and holds her breath, and only Ryumin's muscles lock. While someone in this tub holds their breath underwater, everyone else is left with nothing but their eyes and mind. Underwater, Arim's gaze darts between the drain chain on the wall and the door key hanging by the sink.
The rest, we'll show you once it's made.
He only freezes while she's underwater—so how does she get out of the bathroom?
