Tonight Belongs to Us

Opening scene

“You bought the night all for yourself? You took our sunlight too.”

The story

In a frontier city where day never ends, teenager Hada buys six minutes of night to finish a stargazing drawing. But ten meters of shade doesn't just darken Hada's room; it also halts the neighbors' shared charging. Canceling means the pass expires, and going ahead leaves the neighbors with a loss they never agreed to. Does Hada have to see the stars alone for the drawing to truly be Hada's own?
