All I Wanted Was to Fly a Kite
Opening scene
“Only the kite's supposed to fly. Are you selling Dad too?”
The story
Haerang, whose kite workshop is about to close, has to sell his largest kite at one final demonstration. The wind he borrowed from a market merchant lifts the kite high, but every ounce of its pull comes straight back into Haerang's hands. If he lets go of the ring, the demonstration is over; if he holds on, his hands grow stiff. Having pushed away even his son Duri's offer to help, what will Haerang hold on to before the sun sets?
