I Pulled the Cash Bag, and the Monster Came Too
Opening scene
“I pulled the money, and the monster came with it.”
How it begins
Serin grabs the money bag, and Murok flips on a red work light. Her hands and shoes slide out from under her, and she slams into the cage. The white beast inside can't get a grip on the floor—yet it snaps a wooden rod poking through the gap in a single bite. Murok refuses the refund: as long as you don't get bitten, you're safe. Only surfaces hit by the red light lose their friction; under a cover, it comes back. As Murok ties the bag to his belt, Serin takes it all in: the low work light, the ramp in front of the cage, and the loading door already open to the outside.
The rest, we'll show you once it's made.
She'd feed the seller to the beast—but can she get just her own money out safely?
