How it begins
Eungyo spreads out a résumé, and her mother, Geumran, sets a ring box right on top of it. Across the table, Dobin turns on his phone camera. "Skip the interview. Meet me instead." When Eungyo stands up, Geumran tucks the job application papers into her own bag. Eungyo demands them back; Geumran says she'll return them if Eungyo sits for just ten minutes. Meanwhile, Dobin starts explaining on stream how to approach women who say no. Then Eungyo spots a pink consultation envelope in her mother's bag, and sees Dobin recognize it.
