How it begins
On a Saturday morning, Sera signs for a registered letter from a genetic testing lab, addressed to her husband Taeo. Convinced he's been doubting their five-year-old daughter, she puts the unopened envelope on the dining table and confronts him. Taeo goes pale and keeps repeating, "It's not what you think." "Then open it here," Sera says, and Taeo opens it. The child tested is eight months old, with a name Sera has never seen — and the result says "paternity established." Eight months ago was when Taeo was away for three months on an out-of-town "business trip."
