My Best Friend Is Right Outside the Door
Opening scene
“Is he still there?”
How it begins
The doorbell rings, and Wonju kicks Myeongtak's shoes under the couch. From outside, her friend Jian asks, "Is he still there?" Myeongtak signals with his eyes: say no. Wonju cracks the door and says she's alone. When Jian insists on coming in to wait, Wonju shoves Myeongtak's bags out of sight with her foot. Meanwhile, Myeongtak frantically deletes the texts he sent Jian. Wonju grabs his hand—and sees the last line still on the screen: "Let's see how far your friend will go."
The rest, we'll show you once it's made.
Wonju lied to her friend. Now that she knows she was being tested too, who will she choose?
